FAQ

How do I sign up?

Contact your private lesson instructor If you are interested in participating in this year’s Dance Extravaganza, contact your private lesson instructor and they will help get you registered.  If you do not have a Cinema Ballroom private lesson instructor, contact the front desk in person, by phone to 651-699-5910 or by email to info@cinemaballroom.com and they can assist you.

How will I be evaluated?

Our world class judges are instructed to provide a short written critique and a numeric value for all dancers. You will receive a critique for every event in which you participate.

How do I use a Written Critique?

A written critique will be composed of the judges perception of your strengths and/or weaknesses in each particular dance. The judges have only a moment to observe your dancing on the competitive dance floor. This uniquely designed event will provide to you valuable insight as to what the judges observe in that crucial moment on the competitive floor. Use the written critiques to guide your dancing in the coming months to maximize strengths and improve technique to combat perceived weaknesses.
